Alerion新型CT造影剂效果极佳

2005年3月在美国奥兰多分子影像学会年会上，来自七所大学和公司的科学家在报告中，报道了使用两种新型造影剂用于微型CT以及CT成像的结果以及摘要。

Fenestra与微型CT和传统CT成像系统都能够兼容， 是由Alerion公司研制开发的，允许研究人员能够在各种各样的动物模型之中观察解剖与功能的变化。而且，它能够在相同动物之中重复给药，从而无需处死动物以及评估多个动物模型。Fenestra技术是以包含在油水脂质乳剂的亲脂核心中的碘化甘油三酯为基础的，这与体内能够携带脂质的天然生成的乳糜微滴残余物相似。依赖这种乳剂制剂的特征，这种药物提供了解剖结构的长期观察能力，这种特征在使用微型CT扫描仪的时候极其有用，可以产生较长的数据获取时间以及稳定的对比增强轮廓。
 
CT Contrast Agent Shows Potential
 
Findings using two new contrast agents for micro-computed tomography (CT) and CT imaging were features in presentations and abstracts by scientists from seven universities and companies during the March 2005 annual meeting of the Academy of Molecular Imaging in Orlando (FL, USA).

Compatible with both micro-CT and conventional CT imaging systems, Fenestra, developed by Alerion, allows investigators to view anatomy and function in a wide variety of animal models. Furthermore, it can be administered repeatedly to the same animal, eliminating the need to sacrifice and assay multiple animal models. The underlying technology of Fenestra is based on iodinated triglycerides contained in the lipophilic cores of oil-in-water lipid emulsions similar to the naturally-occurring chylomicron remnants that carry lipids within the body. Depending on the characteristics of the emulsion formulation, this agent provides long-lasting visualization of anatomic features, a feature particularly useful for use with micro-CT scanners that benefit from longer data acquisition times with stable contrast enhancement profiles.
