Voluson i、 Logiq e和Vivid e系统得到了美国食品药品管理局的许可，将在2006年6月开始供应美国市场。Logic i同样得到了FDA的批准，将在2006年9月供应市场。Vivid i在2004年获得了FDA的许可，已经在2005年早些时候供应市场。

GE Healthcare Hopes to Double Compact Ultrasound Business
 
GE Healthcare (St. Giles, UK) has announced that it plans to double the size of its compact ultrasound business with the introduction of four new specialized ultrasound systems.

GE Healthcare is introducing its Compact Series line of laptop computer-sized ultrasound systems. The new line has been developed to meet healthcare providers’ growing need for real-time imaging anywhere care is provided. GE’s Vivid i, a compact cardiovascular ultrasound system, was first introduced in 2005. GE’s Compact Series is now expanded to include the new Voluson i, Vivid e, the Logiq i and Logiq e systems.

The Voluson i, Logiq e, and Vivid e systems were approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will become commercially available in the United States in June 2006. Logic i was also FDA-approved, with plans for commercial introduction in September 2006. Vivid i received FDA clearance in 2004 and was commercially available in early 2005.
