Merck公司推出快速军团菌侧流检测法

 
一种新型快速侧流分析检测法，能够同时检测所有种类的军团菌。最常见的优势菌肺炎军团菌，可以单独使用相同的检测方法进行鉴别。

这种新型检测方法叫做Duopath Legionella，是由Merck KGaA公司(Darmstadt, Germany)提供的。对从水中或者环境采样在煤炭酵母菌提取物（BCYE）琼脂糖培养基或者添加军团菌选择性成分的BYCE培养基中扩增的疑似菌落，可是使用这种方法进行验证。这种检测方法敏感性极高，降低了假阴性的危险。在一项与广泛应用的乳胶聚集检测法进行对比的研究中，Duopath Legionella检测法对肺炎军团菌的敏感性为100%，而对Legionella菌株为92%，而乳胶检测法只有98%和37%。
 
Rapid Lateral-Flow Assay Identifies Legionella
 
A new rapid lateral-flow assay enables the simultaneous identification of all Legionella species. The most prominent species, Legionella pneumophila, can be identified separately using the same assay.

The new test, called Duopath Legionella, is available from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany). It can be used for confirmation of suspect colonies obtained after enrichment of water or environmental samples on buffered charcoal yeast extract (BCYE) agar medium or BCYE with Legionella-selective supplements. The test is highly sensitive and lowers the risk of false-negative results. In a comparative study with the widely used latex-agglutination assay, the sensitivity of Duopath Legionella was shown to be 100% for Legionella pneumophila and 92% for Legionella species, while the latex assay provided only 98% and 37%, respectively.
