Applied Imaging公司推出新型基因探针

一种新型基因探针使用荧光原位杂交技术来检测患者样本中骨髓细胞的染色体性别。这种自动应用方法已经获得了美国食品药品管理局的许可。

骨髓移植是治疗白血病以及其它血液系统癌症的重要方法。进行骨髓供体与受体之间细胞比例的比较，主要用于评估性别错配骨髓移植受体的移植成功率。这种探针是标准染色体组型分析（或者叫做常规染色体分析）的补充。

对X和Y染色体的分析在自动CytoVison系统上进行，该系统是应用影像(San Jose, CA, USA; www.aicorp.com)公司的产品。该系统使用Vysis公司(Downer’s Grove, IL)的CEP X光谱橙色/CEP Y光谱绿色DNA探针试剂盒。

Genetic Test Aids Bone Marrow Transplants
 
A new genetic probe uses fluorescence in situ hybridizarion (FISH) technology to identify the chromosomal gender of bone marrow cells within a patient sample. The automated application has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Bone marrow transplantation is an important therapeutic strategy in the management of leukemias and other blood-based cancers. A comparison of the proportion of cells belonging to the bone marrow donor versus the recipient is used to evaluate engraftment success in recipients of sex-mismatched bone marrow transplants. The probe is an adjunct to standard karyotyping, or routine chromosome analysis.

This analysis of the X and Y chromosomes is made on the automated CytoVision system of Applied Imaging (San Jose, CA, USA; www.aicorp.com). The application employs the CEP X spectrum orange/CEP Y spectrum green DNA probe kit from Vysis, Inc. (Downer’s Grove, IL).
