Systems presented by Siemens at American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions in Dallas (TX, USA) in November 2005 included: the Somatom Sensation 64 computed tomography (CT) scanner, a fast and advanced CT system with a gantry rotation speed of up to 0.33 seconds. Also presented at the meeting was the syngo BEAT, which combines the best of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)--morphology, function, tissue characterization--and three dimension (3D) coronary anatomy in one simple tool.
